Heather has served as the plant tissue culture laboratory manager at Agri-Starts Inc., in Apopka, Florida, for more than a decade. While there she led scheduling and inventory monitoring; created measures to monitor employee productivity, ensured a safe work environment, and set quality standards; and guided tissue culture production of at least 35 plant genera and over 120 plant varieties, while establishing new plant varieties in vitro for improved product sales. She has also been a freelance writer in the industry, whose wide-ranging work was published in trade magazines in the horticulture and agriculture industries, and with Central Florida Media Group.

Teresa is the managing editor of Lawn & Garden Retailer, an avid gardener, and an emerging plant nerd. She has a bachelor’s degree in English and journalism and has spent more than 20 years in B2B publishing. Her passion for the garden center market is expressed through the pages of the magazine and online, where she loves the friendly and collaborative ideas and information that are freely and generously shared.

Amanda has over six years of combined experience in the publishing and print industry as a multimedia/graphic designer and an additional 6 years as a freelance designer. Her passion for communicating with the team and through design — to produce creative, appealing, informative and useful content from multiple mediums — is what motivates her to continue to grow in her profession.

Ali has 5 plus years of experience as a Graphic Designer and has been working at Great American Media Services since the fall of 2016. She currently is the Creative Director and also the lead designer on Gift Shop Plus and Lawn & Garden Retailer. Ali enjoys the world of creative problem solving and has a passion for bringing ideas to life through graphic design.
